How To Fulfill Your Purpose
Everyone wants to fulfill their purpose, but few know how. This past Sunday's message we discussed how to discover & fulfill your purpose.
Your purpose is at the intersection of three things & here they are.
1. Passion
What breaks your heart? Another way to think about it is this:
Which of the purposes of God do you cling to?
What can’t you stand? What is it that when you see it, a righteous anger wells up within you? – It shouldn’t be this way!
- Is it the next generation?
- Is it the homeless?
- Is it the addicted?
- Is it people far from God?
Whenever you begin exploring your purpose, you have to know what God has broken your heart for.
Here's the second:
2. Personality
God has wired you exactly the way he needed to wire you to accomplish what he has for you to do.
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10 NIV
God didn't create you and think, "What am I supposed to do with this one?" No, he created you exactly the way he needed to for you to accomplish what you he has set before you!
So, here's the question you need to answer:
What are your gifts?
It’s not just what you want to do, it’s what you’re gifted to do.
If you want to know your destiny, you need to look at your design.
God has given you specific gifts so you can use those gifts to make a difference.

Here's the third intersection.
3. Problem
This one is way different than the first two.
The first two are focused on you.
- What am I passionate about?
- What am I good at?
This one is focused on what God cares about & where you can make an impact.
Here's the question we need to think about: What is the need?
As a follower of Jesus, you are called to have a humble heart that builds God's kingdom not your own.
Instead of always focusing on serving in an area that makes you feel good, we are to step in wherever there is a need.
At the intersection of your PASSION, PERSONALITY & the PROBLEM is where your purpose lies.
If you want to live the most fulfilling life, follow the purpose that God has created you for!
