3 Ways To Find Peace Not Anxiety

When was the last time you felt overwhelmed, frustrated, depressed, or anxious?

We live in a society that is desperate for peace, but isn't finding it.

Did you know that the average high school student today has the same level of anxiety as a psych patient in the 1950’s?

So, how do we find peace not anxiety? Recognize:

1. Peace Is Available Today

The quest for peace isn't about a distant future or a conditional promise. According to John 14:27, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." Jesus offers us a gift of peace TODAY. We don't need to wait for the perfect circumstances or conditions to experience it. It's a gift available to us right now, regardless of what you're facing.

2. Identify What's Making You Anxious

Recognizing our anxiety is the first step towards finding peace. While some may not consider themselves anxious, we all have moments when we lack control, don't get what we want, or face uncertainty. In these moments, our reactions can reveal underlying anxiety. Your REACTIVITY reveals your ANXIETY.

3. God's Love Leads To Lasting Peace

To find peace and overcome anxiety, we must know God's love in a deeper way. This is how we experience a peace that surpasses all understanding. 1 John 4:18 says this, "There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love." You can be filled with love or filled with fear. You pick.

Peace is available today.
